Yapps the great SunVox continues to expand with even more functionality.
So as always have to put a reminder that SunVox is fully free for PC/Linux/Mac and the files are interchangable over all platforms.
For PC/Linux/Mac version:
* sound engine optimization;
* spectrogram has been added to the to the spectrum analyzer;
* MultiCtl: new controllers "Response" and "Sample rate" to smoothly change the output value;
* see full changelog on the site: http://warmplace.ru/soft/sunvox
This is made by a developer that have made some other apps that is based on using the Caustic engine. He is also the web director of the Cautic website, singlecellsoftware.com.
This app seems to me to be the most advanced one yet and if not paying attention it may seem simplistic but seeing the videos it shows to have a lot of possibilities that are not obvious and still being an easy app to use. (Having not used it though, it is still not clear to me how the synthesizer parts work).
Can imagine that this would be a very good app for some people.
Also as it is based on the Caustic engine it will be very stable and probably work very good on lower spec devices. Always surprised how good Caustic works on my five year old devices that was not that good to begin with!
Drum Pad Beats is a fun beat/composer - scene/remixer to capture those ideas when that flash of inspiration hits while away from the studio.
Drum Pad Beats is aimed at users that want to create rhythms and melodies using pads and step sequencers. With the added ability to export their creations to wav, ogg or midi loops (zip, pcmsynth for Caustic), user ideas can be taken farther in mobile or desktop Digital Audio Workstations.
Great for sharing beats/tracks as dpb files and remixing another artist's track, the track could then be remixed again adding even more flavor. Drum Pad Beat's project file contains everything another user needs to take that idea even farther.

How to Sound Like Muse - Hysteria with Deplike App. Guitar Amp & Effects For Android and iOS Devices
The developer expanded on this post answering some questions in the comment section. So be sure to check that out!
New project in the works from the developer of G-Stomper Studio (and family).
It is another app in the family but using a different workflow. If understood it is more sequencer based working track by track instead of pattern by pattern, as such being less Groovebox oriented.
It will be able to import G-Stomper Studio and family projects, and many of the other functions like Ableton Link, MIDI IN/OUT, MIDI over USB + Bluetooth LE, etc... will be included as well.
There is still a lot of work to be done and if everything continues forward as calculated should see the light of day sometime this winter.
Am excited about this as the other apps are such high standard and to have access to one more quality app on the Android platform is of course great!
Slighty delayed news...
Two huge song collections are now available for the Fakebook Pro music reader app. New PDFB script files is added for 557 Jazz Standards - Swing to Bop and for The Book -- all in all about a thousand songs in jazz, funk, rock and other styles.
These additions means that there are now 24 books that can be automatically downloaded and indexed by the Fakebook Pro app:
Yapps it just keeps on going!

So EU fined Google 5 Billions for bundling their apps on Android devices... Which will force Google to not continue the practice and leads to a loss of ad revenue and influence.
Google have mentioned that they will maybe charge developers to pay to use Android O.S which of course is a big threat as many developers are attracted to use Android for being open source in difference to Apple.
Personally do not think that this will happen as Google could loose too much starting to charge for usage of Android, revenue or not.
My real reason for posting is not so much for this news but one of the responses by the European Google CEO Sundar Pichai wrote. Do agree with a lot of it.
Read it here:
TuxGuitar have been a free alternative to Guitar Pro for a long time. To be honest thought that TuxGuitar had stopped being developed since some time. Happily enough this is not true and it seems like it is now actively being developed and there is also a version for Android.
Which is good as there is not many guitar note/tablature writing apps.
Of course it aso reads notes/tablature.
The PC/Linux/Mac version is for free and it is supposed to work as a VST as well (Have not tried this). The Android version is for free with ads and have paid ad free version for two and a half monies.
Will give it a swirl these days and hope that it holds up to my expectations!

The same developer is also behind a 8-bit game for learning music theory with listening excercises. So big props for thinking outside the box and am curious what will pop out later from his mind...
Music Scale Sudoku is the first app ever to combine Sudoku and Music Scale Theory. Mastering scales is a fundamental skill in the study of music. A solid understanding of scales makes the study of melody, chords, and harmony easier. It also helps improve your ability to remember and compose music.
Combining Sudoku and music scales is the perfect way to practice your ability to spell scales. The solution method doubles as an exercise in spelling scales.
Music Scale Sudoku features the 11 most common major scales: C, F, G, Bb, D, Eb, A, Ab, E, Db, and B.
There are 6 puzzles for each scale plus a random mode that creates over 600 variations of the existing puzzles.
Each puzzle has been verified to contain no advanced Sudoku techniques. The goal of this app is to teach you scales over advanced Sudoku techniques.
The game also features a tutorial on how to spell major scales.
Buttons double as a keyboard so that you can play along to the background music!
