First of all want to give a big thanks to Carlos for sending an email letting us now!
There is not much information but it seems that it is going to be a Virtual Reality Modular synthesizer for Android among other platforms. Hopefully it will work outside of the modular realm as well but could not see why not. Mmmm what is more exciting than a modular synthesizer? (Maybe a polyphonic modular synthesizer with granular and sampler built in). So the Beta should soon be started soon! In either case linking their homepage which does not contain too much information and the little information available about the synthesizer is on their Facebook page... But am excited just to see another modular and it is great to see the first virtual reality music making app for Android. (How well that will work... The skeptic in me does not have high.hopes... so that can only lead to a positive surprise). Homepage: www.silicondroid.com Facebook: m.facebook.com/silicondroid/ One more teaser video for what is still in Beta and coming soonish. It is already a favorite app for me! Even though it is like cheating... Sending a message now so it is possible to see a little bit more up close what this is and how deep it can go...
If you want to do the same go here: meteaurestudios.github.io/# P.s at the moment it seems that the contact button is not working for me and maybe for anyone else? So will send them a message through Da Twitter instead... twitter.com/meteaurestudios Create loop based patterns with Polaris using its 6 tracks sequencer. Google Play Beta: play.google.com/apps/testing/com.massimobiolcati.irealb It as been Beta testing for awhile but there is a need for more testers... Yapps that means you! The developer has been busy with other projects as well... One being a hand-held gameboy style hardware sequencer/synthesizer that will be very interesting to hear when finished. Go here and sign up for the Beta: play.google.com/apps/testing/com.nanoloop Prototype 1 of the new machine...
This is about to get released during 2019 but the developer want to Beta test some more. It has been released on iOS for awhile and got a lot of praise. Have been testing it and like it a lot. It is easy to use but can get complex, intriguing and useful results. It is midi compatible which is great as it is an app that can give unique timbres that is hard to get with traditional synthesis. Had to use a Midi to USB and then connect it to a USB OTG cable on the device used. (If not having an Midi to USB cable and thinking of getting one, please investigate a little bit before buying, there is cheap ones that do not work... Chinese, Ebay, Amazon etc...). The app is a lot of fun at the expense of CPU... So a good device is needed with Android Oreo or later. Think to get an idea of the app take a look at the videos down below... To get into the Beta write the developer here: deltavaudio@gmail.com Website: www.deltavaudio.com/ It will be one of the big releases 2019 for sure. There was some time ago since I tried this but it was pretty useless as it was using a older Android version and specs than the devices at the time and as such regarding the more demanding apps could not be used.
With the Beta they have stepped up their game to Android Nougat and am consideering to install it again... There is a free and paid version of Bluestacks and the free version do not limit the functionality of the apps... If it works good it is a nice back up to have if a device gets lost or broken. Just to be able to continue using favorite apps. To check it out go here: www.bluestacks.com/download-android-n.html There has been some waiting for this since the development was at 95%. As usual there is a lot of improvements and with a couple of them being a little bit leftfield. The biggest so far is the sampler update which brings a lot of more functionality and possibilities to it. Just check out the video and as you can see it is possible to use effects modules directly in the sampler, with envelopes (amongst other things)!!! There is supposed to come some more stuff that is not announced yet... suspect that it involves more Pixilang integration as there already is some ways to use Pixilang inside Sunvox for some cool things... To test it on a PC/Mac/Linux go here (aso a list of all the new stuff): http://www.warmplace.ru/forum/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=4428 Reacatable will release a new drum machine by the 15th of November.
If this is something and there is an itch to try out right now go here: http://reactable.com/snap-beta/ Some new additions already!
v1.9.2 BETA2 (23 oct 2016):
Good addition to the Android music apps. Have been out on iOS for a while and the video in the end is showing the iOS version. Like that it is easy laid out and can record and edit samples as well plus a decent amount of effects. So it is possible to download the app already as Beta without having to sign up as a Beta tester. Just go to the Play page and install: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mixvibes.remixlive Google Play info: Try Remixlive as part of the public beta and get discounted prices on all in-app purchases! This is a beta version of Remixlive for Android, in the process of being tested before its official release and it may contain defects. There is a lot of new things a s usual and a lot of them will not be exciting until put to good use. Here is one of the new things that mentally I can not see how it would be useful but probably will be surprised when putting it into action!
One cool thing that Mr Nightradio already used in his Palmsounds birthday video is the new viualising mode. What is in this Beta: v1.9.2 BETA1 (10 oct 2016):
So to try the new Beta you need FL Studio and sign up. Otherwise it is nice to see what is coming independent if you have FL Studio or not. And as said before it is going to be a free update so that is great news if your device can handle it. To sign up: http://www.image-line.com/documents/news.php?entry_id=1467949082 So now there is a Beta available to use inside FL Studio as a plugin for anyone that own it.
The idea is that the projects that you make in Fl Studio Mobile are totally interchangeable with the plugin making the mobile app very desirable for FL Studio owners. Happy to report that the new version 3 are according to official sources going to be a free upgrade... Here is what is said on their website about the Beta: Welcome to the FL Studio Mobile 3 FL Studio Plugin. You can now test the FL Studio FL Native version of FL Studio Mobile as a plugin. This is how we aim to allow users to work to and from the mobile version. In future we will enable 16-channel audio output from the plugin and allow drag-n-drop of MIDI / Audio data between the two. The plan: The FL Studio Plugin version will be included Free to all FL Studio users of FL Studio Producer Edition (and up). As usual, we reserve the right to change these terms. So if you own FL Studio Mobile and register it to your IL account prior to a change-of-mind on our part, you will continue to own the FL Plugin version should we decide to sell it as an add-on purchase (for which we have no plan at the moment). Put simply: Everyone using producer edition and up, gets this plugin for free. Registering your mobile version to your IL account will guarantee it stays that way for you. To get the Beta go here: http://forum.image-line.com/viewtopic.php?f=100&t=159176 It came some days ago and have not had time to play with it as the time that is left of my day goes to sound design in the new great addition in G-Stomper Alpha. But this looks like some very useful and fun additions in the new SunVox and am longing for more time so I can check it out properly! Mr Nightradio made two videos presenting a little bit and this looks good but think that the new Slide module must be a lot of fun too! To play with it now on PC/MAC/Linux go here- http://www.warmplace.ru/forum/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=3900&p=13390#p13390 The new additions: v1.9.1 BETA (30 dec 2015):
The developer of G-Stomper have left this message and it makes me excited... as this will become the most advanced sampler/sample instrument available on Android!
Sneak peek to the upcoming G-Stomper Studio 5.0. Even if it's still far away from being finished, I want to give you a quick heads up about what's going on. As some of you probably know already, G-Stomper Studio and G-Stomper VA-Beast are both on the plan to get updated with a new wavetable synthesis module, which is now definitely confirmed for version 5.0. Simply said, you'll be able to load samples to the synth's oscillators instead of using generated waveforms. This will finally allow to load multi-sampled instruments like orchestral sounds (grand piano, horns, strings, or whatever). And with ‘oscillators’ it’s meant both on their own. Each oscillator will be able to hold its own sample set, so you’ll be able to layer multiple instruments as well as cross modulate them in (almost) the same way you can do with generated waveforms. You'll be able to load multiple samples with different note ranges, but also multiple samples with different velocity ranges within the same note range, and of course it’ll use both, mono and stereo samples as known from the drum samplers. As already mentioned, it's not yet finished (the first beta will probably be ready at the end of the year), but all the backend milestones have been completed already, and I’m working on the graphical user interface now. If you're willing to join the tests, just visit the G-Stomper Public BETA Group at https://plus.google.com/communities/102442427759925925275 and click "ask to join". Important: The BETA tests are only available for Google Play buyers. Only users who downloaded one or more of the following apps on Google Play will be able to grab the BETA releases. G-Stomper Studio G-Stomper VA-Beast G-Stomper Rhythm He kind of skipped over the amazing possibility to able to combine all sound generators and effects into a new sample instrument. Even more crazy interesting is that it is possible to export all notes as separate wav files to be able to make sample instruments in other samplers! In either case this video will for sure wet your appetite for getting Caustic if you do not have it or having it for the official release.
EKT an active Caustic user have tested out the Saw synthesizer that will be in the new Caustic version 3.2. It is in active Beta now and should be ready and stable... soon?
Anyway everybody o the forum is pretty excited about this new synthesizer and it is a welcome addition. The new synthesizer Super Saw Synth based on the Roland JP8000.
Have read some small things and was looking forward to the time/pitch stretching function with two algorithms and knew that there was going to be a new synthesizer in this version coming. But this upgrade is definitively going to be much more than that! Okay so not to be too excited yet as it is just in early Alpha and there will bugs to work through and it will probably take some time before the official release. There is some very interesting options here and maybe one of the coolest things to me is the possibility to use multiple instruments/racks and generate a combined sample instrument. This together with the modular (remember that you can also route audio into the modular) will make Caustic a endless source of sound design. And yes the Sampler will now be stereo sample capable. Well better that you read the list and grok the possibilities of what will come: New "melody helper" to lock keyboards to scales Support for more time signatures (3/4, 4/4, 5/4, 6/4, 7/4) from the song page and in pattern editors Allow for multi-signature tracks by unlocking measure snap in sequencer Tool to create new PCMSynth instruments by merging your rack. Keyable BPM New machine: SawSynth New effects: - Octaver (use with simple, single-voice machines) - Vibrato - Tremolo - AutoPan Machine improvements: PCMSynth: Stereo sample support Modular: Added stereo out to machine input component Bassline: Custom waveform support 8BitSynth: Random equation generator Sequencer: Patterns show preview of notes Quick jump table by long-pressing sequencer machine list Create machine by double tapping empty slot Automation editor workflow visual crosshairs Wave editor enhancements: - Stereo file support - Stereo recording if your device has 2 mics - Effect support - Timestretch/pitchshift - BPM detection - Insert silence - Time ruler w/snap Added mixer + transport MIDI mappings Added support for using MIDI notes as CC triggers Effect bypass is now keyable Improved on-screen keyboard with uppercase/lowercase support New loop and stem export options HD compressed texture support for skins (just Android right now) Windows 7/8 touchscreen support Added a few more keyboard key width options for large screens |
