So there is news on FL studio Mobile front that looks good but something came up in the conversation on the forum that for me is a pretty weird and awful way to treat your customers.
Here it is from the conversation...
Transcription as the image is a little bit hard to read but want to include it so you do not think that I make this up:
How will it function as a VST?
Will you release a VST that can load the Mobile projects and vice versa?
In either case it does look good and having posted many a harsh words on my blog about FL Studio Mobile it will be nice to take them all back if it is as good as the Screenshot seems to indicate!
(And congratulation on the Groovemachine even though maybe a very bad practice is to declare the minimum requirements that low on both Groove machine and FL Studio Mobile and no demo to try...
Yes they may load on the minimum requirements but that is about it!
Shame on you!)
It will load as a VST (actually FL Studio native plugin most likely) and be identical to the App, because it IS the app. This means you can move projects with 100% compatibility in both directions.

We feel no shame, we always deliver far more than people get anywhere else (even if it's eventually).
And you will eventually own a device that can handle it (Apps have lifetime free updates). Same is true for FL Studio and PCs.
Think that it is deplorable to sell a product knowingly not working and excuse it with that someday it will work for you!
This is the kind of things that turn me of a company forever and astounded at the attitude.
Luckily enough we have a lot of niceness in form of small independent developers that do not lie straight to your face about their apps!
It came to my attention that Groove Machine now have sample import as one reader posted it as a comment and think that it is great news if you have it. Tried it a little bit on a intermediate device and must say that it seems that a need for very good device to fully enjoy it. As my friends device I tried it on sputtered and crackled hardly doing anything. Just bringing it up as Image line have put the minimum requirements far too low and there is no demo...
They have done the same with FL Studio Mobile and have mentioned it many times as I do think that it very bad practice and want people to watch a out a little bit...
In either case if I had a strong enough device I would get it as it seems very nice the little I tried it and with sample import even better!
So this is a good thing to decide if you want this or not?
There was a comment in the first post regarding Groove Machine that had bought it for a 7 inch tablet and said that it was too small so keep in mind that it seems that a 10 inch would be necessary.
It does look pretty tasty!
And probably thirty times better than FL Studio Mobile
but can not verify yet as I have not tried it.
The difference of course is the workflow and it seems that they have implemented a much more user friendly sequencer. Plus it is for high end devices (tablets) that will have low latency from the get go so to record thing live should be working out nicely.
The second big difference apart from workflow is that it is not integrated with FL Studio Desktop version.
There has already been complaints from people that bought the FL Studio Mobile as the general consensus is that they should get FL Studio Mobile up to snuff first and I can see that but at the same time it is not really the same thing and remember that this does not work on lower specifications as FL Studio Mobile does amongst other things. (Just waiting for Image-Line to incorporate the synthesizer they promised like forever ago...) So even though my gut reaction is to lash out against bigger developers (god damn old punk rock heart of mine) this does look like something well made and interesting.
Maybe one critique is that it does not seem to have sample import... ahh you see I could find something to complain about!
It will be interesting to see what people make of this.
