Have mentioned Pure Data sometimes but if you do not know what it is...
Pure Data is a visual programing language built around the concept of modules instead of writing code. It is all based around musical functions (and some graphical possibilities).
It does not demand a whole lot of knowledge and there already exists a lot of patches that people made and it already exists patches for MobMuPlat as it have been available for iOS for a while already, meaning that you do not have to learn to do anything in Pure Data and just take advantage of what have been made already. For example in the videos posted there is links on the Youtube channel for those patches that is already prepared for MobMuPlat
There is some Android apps that is made using Pure Data maybe the most useful and interesting ones being Reactable and Nodebeat plus a bunch of other interesting apps. But to make the patches you make in Pure Data as an Android app it is necessary with some more studies and it is not a straightforward operation for non programmers (even though it probably is the easiest way to make a more advanced music Android app) with MobMuPlat it definitely becomes only a question of learning Pure Data or like said use patches already made and if I understand correctly is that it is possible to use some of Pure Data extended as well, this is a limitation for doing Pure Data apps for Android where it is "limited" to Pure Data Vanilla.
So to use the app you do a or load a Pure Data patch into a program for your desktop and there you make the interface in one program and then load it into the app MobMuPlat on your device and badababim!!!
Easier to see the videos and be blown away with the possibilities of MobMuPlat!
This amazing app and software is for free!!! And yes Pure Data is for free to and have a thriving community expanding on it constantly!!!
