So this time all applications as long as it is Android it will be accepted. You have to send the sound file and the files that you used for making the music.
One thing that will be frowned upon is extensive use of bought/pre-produced loop based music.
Also will point out that if you want to use vocals it is all good and even a small dosis of real instruments but keep it to no more than around 20% of the music and mix it in Audio Evolution or Audacity. No plugins or other PC/Linux/Mac music software.
The idea is of course to see how far we can push the Android envelope!
What got noticed during the first contest was that some files got bigger than what is allowed to send through email, so instead you can send a link to where it is possible to download the files...
Also to remember that Skarabee that won the first contest is not an indication of a style of music that is predominant in the taste of the judges-
The Judges will be the same five musicians/producers as in the first contest and all of them have a very varied musical taste...
First prize will be as seen a square that you design like the one you see here with Skarabee clickable and with a soundplayer with your contribution and a publicity spot in the sliding banner on top also clickable to where you want plus a permanent page under contest music.
(Right now Skarabee don't have one, but it will be very soon...)
Last two weeks Musical Android had around 500 unique visitors a day, so that means you will have your publicity seen around 15000 times and listened to by anyone curious it could also be more as the website is growing week by week...
So send your contributions to:
