One of the apps and software I cherish the most is SunVox but yes it can be a little bit daunting if you are not used to a tracker interface plus that SunVox offers sooo much functionality that it can look like it is much harder to grasp than it has to be.
I mean just because there is a lot that you can do does not mean that all the functions and possibilites has to be grasped at the same time to get started doing music.
In either case here is a new site that offers tutorials in a written format and so far directed to the beginner. Not to developed yet but enough to get started.
Hopefully it will grow as there is a lot of tutorials for SunVox they are mostly in video format and lacking (the better ones being made by Solarlune) in one way or another,
So to go the this new site of SunVox learning:

(In Video tutorials I do think that Rej the developer of Caustic has set a new high in how tutorials should be made! They are so good that even if someone do not use Caustic they are recommendable just to get some insight into different topics...)
